Diety is mainly made up of people ages 20+ who have lives and would like to be able to raid while maintaining a certain level of casualness. We don't take kindly to people who refuse to learn fights and come prepared to raids, but we do enjoy the occasional joke on vent and try to have fun during especially difficult encounters.

We raid from 8PM-11PM server time on Wednesday and Thursday. Our raiding schedule is subject to change, however, as college and work schedules tend to change seasonally.
You need not apply if you can't make most of the raids. We will try to have an abundance of members so that raids can be missed on occasion, however we do not want to have people sitting out constantly so we will try to keep a core raiding group with great attendance. Upon first joining Diety, you will be an initiate with limited rights. Initiates get LAST PICK on loot. This rank is held for two weeks, after which you will be evaluated for eligibility of member status. If you do not pass, you are either gkicked or your trial period is extended. You are evaluated on the following: raid attendance, commitment to the guild, ability during raids, and willingness to work on your character.

Diety uses a loot council system in which officers discuss and divvy out loot according to very specific requirements. Factors include, in order of importance, attendance, amount of loot received, upgrade level, and ability. The system is as unbiased as possible and has encountered no major issues, so we believe it is both effective and fair.

If you seek to join Diety, here are some things you must have/know:

  • Members are expected to be group-oriented. We are not here for loot alone. Your attitude on this issue makes a huge impact on your acceptance.
  • We ask you about your talent spec on the application, and we expect you to retain that same spec throughout your time in the guild unless specifically asked to respec by an officer. This is important to progression and raid compilation. If you will only raid in one particular spec or if you refuse to change specs to help the guild, please notify us. This will not bar you from acceptance; we merely need to know so that arrangements can be made to recruit the classes we need. Please also note that you can petition to change your spec; we only ask for time to plan accordingly.
  • We expect members to know all of the fights we do (visit http://www.tankspot.com to catch up if you need to). This shows initiative and lack of laziness.
  • Your gear needs to show your dedication to progression. You need to have all of your armor enchanted and gemmed properly.
  • Members must come prepared to raid with consumables (flasks/food) beneficial to their specific classes. We will not provide these things all of the time.
  • Don't ever complain about not having enough gold for repairs/consumables.
  • You need to have Ventrilo (http://www.ventrilo.com) to listen to directions, and a mic.
  • The following mods are required: Decursive, Deadly Boss Mods, and Omen Threat Meter. You may also have their equivalents if you prefer (i.e., Big Wigs).
